Singapore, 29th October 2020 – GCI Health, an award-winning global healthcare communications agency, today announced the appointments of Sophie Asker as Managing Director, Singapore and Dan Blomfield as Managing Director, Medical Communications, APAC.

Sophie joins GCI Health with 15 years of health dedicated communications experience, predominately from Syneos Health in the UK, where she was Deputy Managing Director of Public Relations. She will lead GCI Health’s Singapore based operations, including several local and regional client relationships.

Dan, a medical communications and education leader, moves from his previous role of Managing Director, Singapore at GCI Health to take on a regionally focused remit to further grow the agency’s medical communications speciality offer.

Earlier this year, GCI Health APAC expanded its offerings, extending beyond health public relations and policy to also provide medical communications and education expertise. The appointments of Sophie and Dan into their new roles will allow further expansion of the agency’s integrated specialities in the region.

“I am thrilled to be expanding GCI Health’s APAC leadership team at such an important time, as the healthcare landscape moves through the pandemic’s various and difficult stages. It is an exciting time to be a part of GCI Health in the region and globally, an agency known for its people-centricity, I am truly energised to be a part of it,” said Sophie.

“Now more than ever during these challenging times, it is important that we as an agency are able to create integrated outcomes across the health ecosystem. It is a great opportunity to be taking forward GCI Health APAC’s increasing commitment to provide integrated solutions, both in and beyond Singapore,” said Dan.

“The addition of Sophie’s Singapore leadership and expansion of Dan’s remit is a significant milestone for us in APAC as we look ahead to 2021 and how we further support our client partners in the new normal. Sophie and Dan are incredible people-focused leaders with a proven reputation for driving powerful communications outcomes,” added Rikki Jones, Regional Managing Director, APAC.
