Event Overview

This workshop is designed to help improve negotiating skills by providing participants with a clear method of understanding the negotiating process, the skills needed to navigate & to provide a safe environment to practice these skills. Attendees will be able to practice the skills learnt through theory and two mock-negotiations.

The Objective

To improve the negotiating performance of the participants by helping them to:

  • Understand the structure that underlines ALL Negotiations
  • Identify & practice the appropriate skills used in Negotiations
  • Utilise Video-replays to observe & develop personal skills in Negotiations.

MAGIC of the workshop is in the video-replays which is utilised as part of the Coached Debriefs to enhance & embed the learning experience. 75% of the workshop is practical with real-world mock-negotiations to practice the skills learnt

  • Understand the different methods to resolve Disputes, Disagreements & Unreasonable Demands from Clients/Procurement.
  • Recognise when NEGOTIATING is the correct method to get what you want.
  • Learn how to Improve CONTROL of your Negotiations.
  • Know the POWER-BALANCE in your Negotiations.  You have more POWER than you think.
  • PITCHING impactfully.  Learn how and when to make a PITCH with confidence.
  • If your PROPOSAL is rejected when to Re-PITCH and stay in-the-game.
  • How to Reduce SCOPE CREEP with more certainty.
  • Understand effective BARGAINING & CONCESSION Planning to get a positive deal.
  • When needed, learn the skill of REPACKAGING your Proposals to Close-Deals.
  • How to handle & navigate a DEADLOCK.
  • Recognise CLOSING opportunities & Do-Deals faster
  • Recognise the GAMES they play and Learn how to influence the rules-of-engagement.
  • Learn Client-Procurement’s tactics and language used against PR Agencies.
  • Discover how do Client-Procurement prepare for their negotiations against the PR Agencies.
  • Find out how to successfully navigate Procurement Tools like RFPs, e-auctions.

This workshop is designed for mid-to-senior level executives (approx.: 5 years of experience).  PR-Professionals who regularly engage, manage and influence Revenue, Time and Resource on projects with Clients/Suppliers/Procurement.
