Summary:
Communications is a fast-moving and high-pressure environment which makes it rewarding and exciting. However, working in such an industry can also bring challenges too. Society is thankfully making progress in breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and more specifically, mental ill health.
This webinar will provide an introduction to mental wellbeing in the workplace and armed with greater understanding, will prepare you to better face the challenges of daily life.

A positive way to approach this subject is to view our mental wellbeing in much the same way that we have been approaching our physical wellbeing in recent years. With a proactive mindset, building ‘good health’, adopting life styles and working practices to optimise our good health to make us more resilient to the challenges we may face.
Attendees will:
Learn about the;
- Definition of stress
- How and when excessive stress might lead to ill health
- Tips and tricks for managing life to avoid excessive or damaging stress including; the bucket analogy; & five ways to wellbeing
- Ideas on how at an organisational level individuals can collectively support each other
- Be given guidance and recommendations to enable further learning in the areas that resonate most

This course is open to anyone or any level. We all bring our whole selves to work and we are all subject to the curved balls that life throws at us.
